1883 – The Origin of the Dutton Legend
1883 is a 10-episode limited series that aired on Paramount+ from December 2021 to February 2022. It was created by Taylor Sheridan, and was described by the creator as a “10-hour movie with an ending” – making it clear that there will be no direct sequel to 1883.
The series follows the original Dutton family – played by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill – on their arduous journey across the Wild West in search of the promised land, which leads them to settle in Montana.
